With deciding on a registered name for my dog Remi. We'd like to start competing, so I'm registering him ILP/PAL with the AKC. He's a chocolate field-style lab. Around 70lbs, and about a year old (best guess from his teeth and personality). He's a maniac when retrieving and will go till he drops, though we haven't tested that, but in the house he's a couch potato cuddler. I will literally wake up in the middle of the night with his head on my shoulder, and he has no qualms crawling into your lap while you're watching TV- if you let him. I know everyone and their mother asks this question on here, but I've never had a purebred dog before, so this is new. He's a shelter dog, so there's no Kennel name, but he was found by Animal Control in Waterloo, IL, so maybe that could go in place. Also, do people even bother with this for ILP/PAL reg., or do they just put their call names? I think it'd be kindof fun to give him a schmancy reg. name, but it's not really necessary.
